We assume that many K-Tek boom pole owners also own poles made by other manufacturers as well as other microphone support devices. A quick connect system must, therefore, be universal. The K-QC: is the basic quick connect unit. It attaches to the 3/8" stud on the end of a boom pole and is locked on with a 3/8 nut for security. The K-QC: consists of the attaching section with its lock nut, a dimpled collar with its collett and one 3/8" mounting spud for a microphone. Each microphone support is fitted with a spud which plugs into the K-QC. These spuds are packaged in packages of three units. The order code for three spuds is K-QS. To get a little bit of extra reach, or to allow the XLR connector in a Rycote pistol grip to clear we offer the K-QSL, a two inch extension spud.
