K-Tek Poles tops feature two sets of slots to accommodate most types of mic. cables. Telescoping sections are connected with unique captive collets that require minimum torque. The collets are held captive within a collar studded with directional dimples. The dimples are designed to limit grip in the tightening direction and increase grip in the loosening direction. The bottom coupling allows boom operators to attach a variety of accessories. An attachable base section with internal 48v Phantom or 12v "T" power supplies let the sound person use a radio mic. transmitter at the boom. A flow-through accessory allows an internal cable to exit without chafing. K-Tek's proprietary Mushroom Pole Base is molded from rugged polyurethane for optimum shock protection and long life. The K-CC is a graphite tube about two inches long with a dimpled collar. It has a  mini-male XLR on the end inside of the pole and an normal male XLR on its end. The K-CC attaches at the base end of the pole in place of the mushroom base. Factory wired poles come with the K-CC installed, and no mushroom base.K-202CCR (K-202 + K-CCR) Factory wired with coil cord and female XLR (top). The K-CCR is electrically identical to the K-CC but the XLR connector comes out on the side and the mushroom base attaches to the end. With longer poles this allows the operator to rest the pole on its base between takes without damaging the wiring.K-202FT (K-202 + K-FT) Factory wired with straight cable and male & female XLRs. The K-FT is a flow through foot has a slot four inches long to allow long cables to flow smoothly. It should be use with the K-Tek K-202 and K-251 and may be practical on a K-152 as well.
